Tula Toddler Vs Preschool Size Baby Carrier

Are you a Tula lover but are finding that your Explore, Free To Grow or Standard baby carrier is getting too small?  Tula have two babywearing options to continue your journey – Tula Toddler Size or Tula Preschool Size.

Toddler or Preschool wearing isn’t for everyone but babywearing doesn’t need to stop once your baby isn’t a baby anymore.  Many families find that as their child grows beyond early toddlerhood, they still need a comfortable, ergonomic way to hold them for long days of adventure, to help tired little legs, to connect or an on-to-go nap! It is also very useful for families that have special needs children.

For both the Toddler and Preschool Tula’s, you can wear your child in a front and back carry.

So which one do you pick?

A good guideline is

  • that if your toddler fits size 2 pants – then go for the Toddler Size.
  • if they fit size 4 pants – go for the Preschool Size.

As neither is adjustable for your toddler or preschooler, it is important to make sure that they will fit the carrier safely without being falls risk or the carrier being too big for them.  You can always upgrade to the preschool size at a later stage depending on your babywearing needs rather than buy the bigger but unsafe option.

Tula Toddler vs Tula Preschool Size

Toddler Size Measurements:
Width – 47cm
Height – 44cm
Use from 11kg to 27kg – approximately 18 months to 4 years
The Tula Todder are available in full canvas or the coast option which is canvas with a mesh part on the back panel and mesh hood (a great option for summer).

Preschool Size Measurements:
Width – 50 cm
Height – 51cm
Use from 15.8kg to 31.7kg – approximately 3/4 years to 8+
The Preschool Size also comes with reinforced structure with additional strategic layers and stitching.
At this stage, preschool is only available in the full canvas option.
